I remember when workouts were the highlight of my day—but instead of feeling empowered, I was constantly exhausted, questioning if I was truly cut out for it.
My mind was always fixated on training, food, or my body. I took pride in being “fit,” yet I was suffering inside. I knew something needed to change but I wasn’t clear on what that was.
So, like so many women I’ve worked with, I did the same thing, I pushed harder. I upped my mileage, threw in extra sit-ups each night, and ignored weight lifting because it felt intimidating. I became an expert at overtraining and under eating, convinced that “more” was the answer.
Eventually, I fractured my pelvis training for a marathon—a painful but essential wake-up call.
That experience changed my life. I realized that more miles, less food, and constant grind were not the path to a strong, resilient body. Since then, I’ve spent over 15+ years learning what it really means to train in a way that builds strength, endurance, and energy to live fully—brownies, wine, and all the in-betweens included, without guilt, shame, or fear.
